The 8th generation Cedric and the 9th generation Gloria, the Y32 type, appeared in June 1991 with a full model change of the previous Y31 series. The body is 3 number size for all cars, and it has evolved from the straight line tone up to the predecessor to a more stylish and wide curved surface tone. Pillar hardtops have been adopted since this generation, and along with the reborn strut / multi-link suspension, chassis performance and safety have been greatly improved.
